Theme Park is a classic product and one of the most well known strategy games for PC. The objective is constructing a theme park from scratch. A limited budget is given to us to set up and expand our park; also to generate benefits so that we can come along with the task adequately, because the expansions cost money so it is actually a closed circle where you have to be smart to avoid going to bankrupt but invest enough to gain profits.

Theme Park is addictive since you can enjoy observing people entering your park, walking around it, mounting the rides and buying food, drinks or mementos in the shops. You can also see the vignettes showing the thoughts of each person by icons, so you know what people desire in that precise moment, what you park may lack of. And you have to manage the budget

wisely, asking for loans if necessary.

The more you advance the bigger your park becomes, having more kind of rides, shops, features or even employers. Beware of their salaries since they can make your park attracive and functional but can also suck too much money. But, will you like them to go on strike and frighten your potential visitors, meaning this your incomes?

Making a theme park huge is a fun and addictive challenge that becomes however a bit tedious after some games. There are no significant new features when you sell your park to buy a new territory where to build on. Nothing to complain about in this rather good oldie.

Only a point else: In the newer versions of Theme Park, for instance Theme Park World, there is a 3D mode where if you want to have a rest you can walk around your park even mounting on your own rides in a 3D environment as if you were a real visitor. You can see how your employers work or how some people

behave just for fun. Well done!

The best of Theme Park: The feeling of managing a whole theme park.

The worst: It can become boring after playing it for a long period, because of the commented lack of variety in the gameplay engine.
